When they open a charitable fund at the Sacramento Region Community Foundation, our donors’ giving is streamlined and their recordkeeping is simplified. One donation to a charitable fund allows them to give to multiple nonprofits over time, with only one transaction to track for the IRS. We accept a wide variety of assets that most nonprofits are not able to. Further, we can provide anonymity for donors, if requested, and serve as a philanthropic advisor to help our donors connect with nonprofits working on causes they care about.

We offer highly personalized philanthropic services and tailor funds to each of our donor’s unique charitable interests. Importantly, we are a local organization with deep roots in the community and our expert team is happy to connect our donors with high-impact organizations that are addressing community needs.

Our team members are experts in identifying the most effective charitable solutions for the assets you to give. We have in-house expertise to process complex gifts and will work with you and your financial advisors to build a charitable fund that achieves your philanthropic goals. The minimum contribution to set up most charitable funds is $10,000; the minimum to establish a Scholarship Fund is $25,000.

With our commitment to delivering world-class philanthropy, we offer a variety of support services to donors, based on their fund type. In general, we handle all back office support for your charitable fund. In most cases, you will have access to our online donor portal, where our team will update you with information on contributions, awards (as applicable), investment earnings, and more. In addition, we are happy to conduct research on your behalf, promote grant or scholarship opportunities (as applicable), and manage due diligence to ensure compliance. Our Philanthropy Team is available during office hours to respond to your questions and needs.

Our competitive support fees offset the cost of fund administration. They are also reinvested in the Sacramento region through our grantmaking and programs — attending to critical regional issues, improving local lives, and multiplying the impact of your ’ giving.
