The Foundation offers a number of competitive grant opportunities for qualified nonprofit organizations interested in putting generosity to work in our communities. We invite eligible organizations to apply to our open grant opportunities, according to the guidelines articulated in each granting program's overview.
The Yolo Community Foundation (YCF) Buck Education Grant Program is new for Yolo County. Its purpose is to support new or existing education efforts in Yolo County that can scale over the course of a 2 to 3 year period. An affiliate of the Sacramento Region Community Foundation (SRCF), the mission of YCF is to inspire and support giving and to provide philanthropic leadership in Yolo County.
The Grants Advisory Board for Youth (GABY) supports youth to develop their knowledge of philanthropy, skills for serving their community, and resources for implementing youth-led projects. Since its inception in 2003, GABY has granted $509,200 to 319 youth-led projects throughout the Sacramento region.
The Immediate Need Grants program addresses urgent community needs and time-sensitive opportunities as they arise. The Immediate Need Grants program is one of the ways that the Foundation continues to be responsible and responsive to the changing needs of the region.
