Dear Friends of the Foundation,
As you know, the extremely dangerous Carr Fire is devastating communities north of our region, and donations from the public are needed to help offset the cost of the extraordinary response services that are required during – and will be necessary following – this emergency. We have made a grant the Shasta Regional Community Foundation to provide immediate and long-term relief to those impacted by the wildfire, and we encourage you to do the same.
Our colleagues at the Shasta Regional Community Foundation are accepting donations to their Community Disaster Relief Fund, which will provide short- and long-term support for those affected in their community.
In addition, you can donate directly to first responders like The American Red Cross Gold Country Region and The Salvation Army, who are currently deploying people and supplies to provide immediate relief.
Like you, our thoughts are with those whose lives are affected by this devastating wildfire. We are always heartened by the Sacramento region's response to crises and, as ever, we appreciate your generosity.
