As Program Manager at the Foundation, Monica Haulman helps coordinate Big Day of Giving, the capital area’s largest fundraising event and year-round nonprofit capacity-building program. She brings to the Big Day of Giving team the communications and donor engagement expertise she developed in previous positions at the Human Rights Center at UC Berkeley Law, Article 3 Advisors, and Amnesty International, where she fostered partnerships between philanthropists and human rights activists in the Bay Area.
In addition to her work on Big Day of Giving, Monica supports the Community Impact Committee at the Foundation, and grantmaking efforts aligned with the Foundation's Strategic Initiatives.
Originally from Nevada City, Monica graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, magna cum laude, with a degree in Political Science. When she is not helping foster philanthropy in the Sacramento region at the Foundation, she enjoys backpacking with her family and photography.
