You direct the grant, and we'll take care of the rest
Granting to your favorite nonprofit organizations from your charitable fund at the Foundation is a breeze. Foundation donors can recommend grants online with DonorCentral or by printing and returning our Grant Recommendation Form.
More often than not, our donors have a clear sense of the nonprofit organizations and causes they wish to support. If you are interested in discovering new nonprofits deserving support, please browse GivingEdge, the Sacramento region’s online nonprofit database, or contact Chelsea Fahr, Director of Donor Engagement, who is happy to provide information related to nonprofit organizations in the areas that you care about. After all, we are here to help!
A man of great faith and heart, Joe took steps to ensure that the region’s military veterans were cared for, and before he passed away, he established the Ruzich Family Fund. Today, his brothers make grants from the endowment to programs serving veterans in need.
Once you have selected an organization to receive a grant from your fund, please submit the grant through DonorCentral, your direct connection to your fund at the Foundation. In DonorCentral, you can:
View fund balances, gifts, and grants from the fund. Gift and grant information is updated daily, and market information is updated monthly.

The Foundation issues grant checks during the first and third weeks of every month. To ensure that your grants are processed, please submit your recommendations at least ten days in advance.
Once we receive your recommendation, our staff will verify all necessary information and make the grant. After the grant check has been mailed to your selected organization, we will send you a confirmation letter.
