We invite you to help us make a difference by donating to the Foundation’s Building Equitable Communities Fund. Guided by our mission — and anchored in our commitment to foster a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive Sacramento region — we are moving the capital area forward in areas where we know strategic philanthropy can be a catalyst for change: Helping grow local giving and strengthening the nonprofit sector, closing gender and racial gaps in access to higher education, strengthening the food system that feeds our region, and fostering a vibrant creative ecosystem.
Complex social and economic factors continue to limit equal opportunities for people of color, for low-income individuals and families, and for so many in our community who encounter barriers when they should encounter pathways.
The root issues of inequity are not new, nor is the Foundation’s involvement in this work. Your support will allow us to continue bringing community groups together in the spirit of partnership to solve problems. It will allow us to maximize our impact in the Sacramento region by pooling resources, bringing the right partners together, and streamlining efforts to break down barriers and get things moving. This is what community foundations are best at — using limited resources and collaborative partnerships as a springboard to great accomplishments.
Thanks to gifts from donors like you, local nonprofits have received Building Equitable Communities Grants to foster the long-term resilience of the Sacramento region.
We invite you to join us to create a more equtiable Sacramento region with a gift to our Building Equitable Communities Fund to advance systemic equity and enhance the quality of life for all in our region.
