Remembering a beloved son, student, and friend
Bryan Potts, a member of the Rio Americano High School class of 1986, was a versatile student whose enthusiasm for living extended into all areas of his life. His qualities were much admired by his family and friends, and it is in remembrance of those qualities that this scholarship fund was created. Bryan’s parents, Erwin and Silvia Potts, knew there son would, in Erwin’s words, “succeed in this life and make a positive contribution to this society—perhaps one of extraordinary proportions.” Bryan’s untimely death left a void in the hearts of his family and friends, but they resolved to help others who share his qualities to fulfill their destinies.
It is the hope of the Bryan Potts Scholarship’s contributors and selection committee that, by annually recognizing a Rio Americano senior who shares Bryan’s joy of living, Bryan’s life will continue to touch young people in the community.
