Al and Mary Wickland Fund

Since 2005, the Al and Mary Wickland Fund has provided a generous grant each year to the UC Davis Health System Trauma Prevention Car Seat Program, so that every child discharged from the hospital leaves safely. Each year hundreds of car seats are provided to parents who cannot afford one, helping to keep the smallest and most vulnerable members of our community safe on the road. Through this program, the lives and ideals of Al and Mary Wickland are honored by the good work accomplished in their names.

“Our parents would be very pleased to know that – through their efforts, and those of the Foundation and the UC Davis Car Seat Program – every needy family who leaves the hospital with a newborn does so in a safe manner,” said John Wickland.
