Except as described above, the Foundation does not share your personal information outside of the Foundation.  The Foundation does not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

Website Security

When you provide information through this website, the transmission is protected by secure socket layer (SSL) encryption.  However, the Internet is inherently insecure and no website operator can guarantee that a website is completely secure.  The Foundation does not warrant that this website is secure or “hackerproof.”

This website contains links to other websites owned and operated by the Foundation including bigdayofgiving.org and givingedge.org.

Credit Card Transactions

The Foundation uses carefully selected service providers to process credit card transactions on our behalf. When you provide personal information to process an online donation, your information goes directly from your computer to a server operated by our service provider. Your credit card information is used only to process a “one time” transaction and the provider is bound by contract to treat all of your personal information as confidential. Our credit card service provider provides us with information regarding each completed transaction such as name, address, etc. so that we may record the transaction in our records and provide the donor with a thank you/tax acknowledgement letter but does not share the credit card information with us so that it cannot be processed again.
