Our History
Forty years ago, a group of community leaders saw a need for stable financial support that would promote charitable giving in the greater Sacramento area and increase the capacity of local nonprofits to advance their missions.
That’s what community foundations do best. Thanks to their vision and our donors’ generosity, the Sacramento Region Community Foundation has awarded more than $250 million to nonprofits and students since 1983.

Our Affiliate
Through our affiliation with the Yolo Community Foundation, we offer our expertise, pool investments for greater return, and handle the administrative aspects of community foundation work — freeing its team to focus on helping Yolo County flourish.
