For more than 40 years, professional advisors have partnered with us to help achieve financial planning objectives and charitable giving goals for their clients.

Many advisors who are initially exploring their clients’ options for their philanthropy have questions about community foundations like ours. Please contact us if we can answer any for you.

What is the fee for administering a fund?

We offer a variety of philanthropic funds to help your clients achieve a wide range of charitable goals, and our competitive support fees vary based on the type of fund. Support fees offset the cost of administration. Importantly, they are also reinvested in the community through our grantmaking and programs — attending to critical regional issues, improving local lives, and multiplying the impact of your clients’ giving. See our fee schedule.

What assets do you accept?

Our team members are experts in identifying the most effective charitable solutions for the assets your clients want to give. We have in-house expertise to process complex gifts, helping your clients reach their charitable goals. Types of assets we accept include cash, stocks and other appreciated assets, business interests, real estate, retirement assets, and estate assets. See Ways to Give.

What is the minimum gift required to open a fund?

The minimum contribution to set up all funds except for Scholarship Funds is $10,000; the minimum to establish a Scholarship Fund is $25,000. We accept a variety of assets and have in-house expertise to process complex gifts, in collaboration with you and your clients, ensuring they achieve the greatest tax advantages. Charitable funds can also accept planned gifts. See Ways to Give.

How are your funds invested?

Charitable funds at the Sacramento Region Community Foundation are invested in our professionally managed investment pools, designed to fit your clients’ time horizons and giving goals. See Investment Portfolios.
