“Nora’s decades of leadership across business, technology, and philanthropy have helped shape opportunities throughout our region. We are honored to welcome her to the Board and look forward to the perspective, wisdom, and energy she will bring to advancing our mission,” said Garry Maisel, Chair of the Foundation’s Board of Directors. “Her experience, community perspective, and longstanding commitment to philanthropy will be invaluable as the Foundation continues its work across the Sacramento region.”
Over the course of her 47-year career, Moore Jimenez has built a reputation as an entrepreneurial and results-oriented executive with experience spanning entertainment media, e-commerce, technology program development, and major gift fundraising. Prior to her work in fundraising, Moore Jimenez served as Director of UC Davis CONNECT, where she helped startup companies build relationships with university resources and regional partners. In 2001, she played a key role in reorganizing the Emerging Technologies Institute of Sacramento into what became the Sacramento Area Regional Technology Alliance (SARTA), a nonprofit organization focused on attracting investment capital into the region.
Earlier in her career, Moore Jimenez held strategic positions with Amplified.com, Valley Media, and CBS/Sony Music, overseeing business development initiatives and sales operations with revenues reaching $285 million.
Moore Jimenez’s commitment to community service has included nonprofit board positions with SARTA and the Sacramento Philharmonic. She currently serves on the board of the Yolo Community Foundation, which is administered by the Foundation. She holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Central Florida and earned her Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy designation in 2020. Jimenez has lived in Woodland since 1993.
