Steve McLaughlin is the Director of Business Philanthropy at the Sacramento Region Community Foundation. Prior to joining the Foundation, he served as the Director of Philanthropy at Christian Brothers High School (CB). During his tenure as Director, the CB and surrounding community set record marks for philanthropic giving, supporting need-based scholarships and student programming. With annual charitable giving at an all-time high, CB was able to offer over $3 million in financial aid each year, providing access to quality education to otherwise underserved students and families, embodying the mission of service and social justice.

Prior to CB, Steve was the Assistant Vice President for Donor Relations at United Way California Capital Region. Through his work in Resource Development and Concierge Services, he was able to help individuals and businesses reach their philanthropic goals while supporting the grander nonprofit community throughout the Sacramento region. Before joining United Way, Steve was the Director of Alumni Relations and Giving for Jesuit High School.

Outside the office, Steve has been a member of Leadership Sacramento, Rotary, and the Veritus Group Scholars. He is actively involved in the greater Sacramento lacrosse community, coaching boys, girls, and men’s lacrosse for the last 20 years. Steve lives in Sacramento with his wife, two children, and their dog.
