HIGHLIGHTS
In 2023, thanks to the support of our fundholders, key stakeholders, and community partners, we:

INSPIRED
more than 57,000 gifts to 762 nonprofits during the eleventh Big Day of Giving, raising $13.8 million. In all, Big Day of Giving has raised $91 million for nonprofits since its inception in 2013.
SUPPORTED
the success of over 60 local nonprofit leaders of color through Cultivate, a first-of-its-kind effort to advance equity and justice in our community and close the gap on fundraising disparities in our region.
ENGAGED
nearly 300 of our neighbors to gain a deeper understanding of the region’s evolving needs, shaping the future of our leadership activities.
CONNECTED
young local leaders in philanthropy through our Grants Advisory Board for Youth, which distributed grants to five youth-led projects.

PARTNERED
with the ACE Resource Network on the Culture Is Mental Health Project, bringing together a cohort of eight organizations to learn from one another and provide funding for mental health resources for youth.
ASSISTED
in raising over $1.8 million by the 32 golfer-philanthropists who participated in the 2023 L5 Investments Capital Cup.
FOSTERED
emergency preparedness among populations most vulnerable to natural disasters in the Sacramento region, in partnership with six local nonprofits and Listos California, a program of the California Office of Emergency Services.

Thanks to gifts and grants made by our generous fundholders, the Sacramento Region Community Foundation led grantmaking in the region for 2023. This allowed us to make significant impact throughout the capital area — El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, and Yolo counties — by supporting the work of organizations and community partners who enrich our region every day.
