Frequently Asked Questions

Can I buy a ticket at the event?

Unfortunately, no. Planning the Philanthropy Summit requires advance preparation in order to ensure the best experience for attendees, so all tickets must be secured in advance.

Can I attend only a portion of the Summit?

Yes! You can build a ticket that fits your interests and attend the parts of the Philanthropy Summit that matter most to you. Some sessions, like National Philanthropy Day, have especially limited capacity, so we encourage you to purchase your ticket with that portion early, if you plan to attend.

Are food and beverages provided?

A catered lunch will be served during the National Philanthropy Day ceremony, with the option to select your preferred meal when purchasing your ticket. Light snacks will be available during the education sessions. At the Sacramento Region Community Foundation’s Celebration of Generosity, enjoy appetizers and refreshments. Vegetarian and gluten-free options will be available at all portions of the day.

Do you offer refunds?

Unfortunately, we are unable to refund tickets. If you are no longer able to attend the Philanthropy Summit, and would like to donate your ticket to a member of the community, please contact us. We are happy to assist.

How will seating work at the National Philanthropy Day luncheon?

The National Philanthropy Day luncheon is a special part of the Philanthropy Summit, open to attendees who have tickets for this portion of the event. Tables will be held near the front of the room for honorees, and all other seating will be first-come, first-served, with 10 seats per table.

The National Philanthropy Day ceremony is an annual event from the Association of Fundraising Professionals, California Capital Chapter.

Is the venue physically accessible?

Yes, Hilton Arden West is compliant with ADA requirements. If you have questions about accommodation, please contact us. We are happy to assist.

What transportation and parking options are available?

Complimentary parking is available at the venue. We encourage attendees to use Sacramento Regional Transit, rideshare services, and carpooling.

Is there a dress code?

Please wear what makes you feel most comfortable for educational sessions, networking, and celebrating.

Will you need volunteers for this event?

Thank you for your interest in volunteering! Please contact Holly Wong, holly@communityeventco.com, for information.
