Impact Newsletter: Winter 2025

Research shows our investments in local partnerships improved mental health for area youth, plus how one woman’s daughters inspired her philanthropic giving.

At the Sacramento Region Community Foundation, our work is two-fold: We empower individuals, families, and businesses to maximize their charitable giving, and we mobilize philanthropic resources to address community-identified needs. We do this because we believe generosity is a powerful force for change, and together, we can create a lasting impact in the Sacramento region.

Referrals from our current donors are growing philanthropy throughout the Sacramento region.

Over the past year, thanks to supporters like you, we awarded $24 million in grants and scholarships, funding that strengthens nonprofits, supports students, and fuels the critical community initiatives driven by our staff and volunteer leaders. One such effort expanded mental health supports for over 100 local youth as part of our commitment to improving health equity — outcomes you’ll find highlighted in this issue of Impact.

Looking ahead, our active engagement in statewide and national conversations about philanthropy ensures our work remains informed, dynamic, and impactful for partners like you. Your continued support for the Foundation and the causes you love makes a difference, and for that, I am deeply grateful.
