Doni Allen is the Director of Operations at the Sacramento Region Community Foundation, bringing over a decade of experience in operations management. With expertise in human resources, supply chain and logistics, continuous improvement (Kaizen), and team development, she is passionate about creating efficient systems that empower organizations to thrive.
Before joining the Foundation, Doni served as the Executive Vice President of Business Operations at The Better Meat Co., a B2B startup harnessing the power of fermentation to create sustainable alternative proteins. Prior to that, she spent several years at Goodwill Industries, where she advanced from an Office Assistant to Vice President of Operations—gaining firsthand experience in organizational growth, leadership development, and mission-driven impact.
Doni has a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Spanish Literature from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and she earned her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from California State University, Sacramento, during which she served as a Career Mentor for Women’s Empowerment, a local nonprofit that helps women experiencing homelessness secure meaningful employment. She continues to champion mentorship as a core value, believing that learning and guidance are essential at every career stage.
Beyond her professional work, Doni is deeply committed to community service. She currently serves as Board Chair for Next Move Homeless Services, supporting unhoused individuals and families with critical resources such as shelter, housing assistance, and employment support.
Outside of work, Doni enjoys hiking with her husband Brian and their dog Penny Lane, roller skating, and getting lost in a good book. She is always open to connecting with others—whether to collaborate, learn, or offer support.
