Katie Poplawski serves as the Controller at the Sacramento Region Community Foundation, where she plays a key role in upholding the organization’s commitment to careful financial stewardship — a cornerstone of community foundation work. With a background that includes experience at Meristem Inc. and Thrivent Financial, Katie brings a deep expertise in finance and accountability to her work, ensuring that the resources entrusted to the Foundation contribute to the long-term benefit of the Sacramento region.

A Sacramento State graduate, Katie finds fulfillment in working alongside an exceptional team dedicated to making a lasting impact in the lives of others. Her role is essential to maintaining donor trust and advancing programs and grants that meet critical local needs. Outside the office, Katie enjoys spending time with her four children and actively supports local performing arts groups.
